Incident Investigation (virtual seminar)

This session will provide Employers with information regarding when accident/incident investigations are required and how to conduct these types of investigations. Topics covered include WorkSafeBC law and regulation regarding accident/incident investigations, a practical guide to investigating accidents/incidents, and why thorough accident investigations are important. A case study will be used to learn how to prepare reports and develop effective corrective actions. This course is ideal for Employers, Managers, Supervisors and members of the Joint OHS Committee who conduct or are involved in accident/incident investigations at the workplace.

Hazard Identification (virtual seminar)

Description: This 90 minute virtual session will be delivered using the GoToTraining platform. The session introduces some of the techniques for identifying, categorizing, and reporting hazards in the workplace. The requirement to accurately identify, assess and control hazards in the workplace is an essential part of a properly functioning occupational health and safety program. This course will provide employers with better understanding of when a hazard identification should be done in the workplace. This seminar will also review the legal requirements pertaining to hazard identification and address some of the numerous sources of information on hazards that are available to employers. This is a great seminar for managers, supervisors, and safety committee members.

Pre-requisite: Each participant is required to individually complete WorkSafeBC’s 2 hour online e-learning course before attending any EAO webinar.
