Joint Committee Annual Training

Designed for the members of the employers' Joint Occupational Health & Safety Committee. Overview of the OHS provisions of the Workers Compensation Act with emphasis on a Joint Committee's duties and responsibilities. This seminar would be beneficial for both worker and employer committee representatives.

NOTE: On April 3, 2017, new regulations regarding joint committees will come into effect.Regulation 3.27 contains prescribed training requirements for new committee members or worker representatives selected on or after that date. These training requirements must be completed no later than 6 months after the worker becomes a member or representative. This seminar DOES NOT meet the prescribed requirements. Employers will need to provide additional training for new committee members and worker representatives as per the regulation after April 3, 2017.
