Prohibited Action Complaints (in-person)
Course by: EAO-BC Seminars

Description
A Prohibited Action (PA) occurs when a worker is retaliated against by their employer or union for raising a health and safety concern in the workplace. If a worker believes they are the subject of a PA, they may file a prohibited action complaint (PAC) with WorkSafeBC, which triggers an investigation and resolution process. This seminar offers an overview of PACs, how they are initiated, and what employers must be aware of when preparing a response. We will analyze the different components of a PA and use a case study discussion to examine how the PAC process unfolds.
This seminar is intended for employers, supervisors, HR professionals, and managers who handle PACs.
